Youth have taken control of Sadeghieh Square on Ferdos Blvd, as well as Jannat-Abad and Chahar-Divari region where heavy clashes are being reported. Trash bins have been set on fire and are being used by protesters as trenches.
In Sar-sebil and Hashemi districts street fights are reported as protesters defend themselves by throwing glass and stones at security forces. The chants "death to dictator" and "death to Khamenei" resonate throughout these areas.
The sound of a gunshot is heard around Shohada Square. We are yet to receive precise reports on casualties.
One can hear the sound of ambulances in every district of Tehran. As we approach 9pm, the sound of firecrackers becomes louder and louder, often resembling an explosion. One may describe the current situation as very similar to what a war would look like.
